The Herd
Our Boars
Mack- Truck (Buck Fever X Whiskey Joe) X Gator
Pictured here at 2 years old, Mack is still as good as he ever has been. We did him an injustice not picturing him in his prime however, when he struts around the farm we think he looks every bit as good as the day he was weaned. Mack never had an "off" day. He comes at you like a "Mack Truck" and goes away with an even better view. From his enormous bone to his deep body and tons of rib shape, we can't say enough about this guy. He was always on a sow ration from the time he was 60 pounds. He certainly breeds true also. We see his offspring with more bone and true squareness in every litter. Mack can certainly add muscle, square one up, and give those stout features that have been so popular in the show ring. He is one that is worth seeing in person!! He has sired the Champion Duroc Gilt 2015 San Angelo Jr. Breeding Show; Reserve Champion Duroc Gilt at the 2014 Black and Gold Classic Day1

Black Cherry- The Answer X Triple Rock
Wow!! This guy is a beast and will see heavy use here at the farm. His moderate frame should complement our larger framed durocs while adding bone, rib, body and a tremendous hip that is something we are use to seeing in a cross. This guy was possibly the best buy at the SWTC in Belton 2015.

Rattler- Crazy Eyes X WTF OMG
Rattler is another great purchase this year!! He is a littermate to the High Selling Duroc Boar at the 2015 SWTC in Belton. Since we have gotten him home this guy has continued to impress us. If his huge explosive top, and barrel shaped rib aren't enough then we know you will be blown away by his monster forearm and width of chest floor. He combines all of this into a really clean and unique front end!!

Convoy- Truck (Buck Fever X Whiskey Joe) X Chuck Berry
This Truck son is out of our Chuck Berry sow that is a proven generator at SHB in both barrows and females! Convoy has extra rib shape, with a near perfect hip. He's true as can be both coming and going away, with exceptional muscle for a duroc. He was on a self feeder of a sow feed ration from the time he was about 75 pounds and looks tremendous. He is extremely flexible and really pushes off his rear two. Plus he carries his head up naturally, he will see a lot of use here! Convoy's litter mate was Grand Overall at the Runnels County Breeding Show and was Second at the Houston Livestock Show Breeding Gilt Show and another was a high placing barrow at the San Angelo Livestock Show!
